Liquid Marketplace is a new platform which tokenizes physical collectibles which allows individuals to be able to buy, sell and trade some of the world’s rarest collectibles. The group was present at The Mint Collective and the new platform has raised $10 million in funding (see below).

The platform has now disclosed what its top items will be at the launch — a 7-figure Lebron James Exquisite Autographed Jersey Patch Rookie Card, as well as a million-dollar PSA 8 Pikachu Illustrator Card. Other assets have been shown below and these rare high-value assets can be purchased with both crypto and traditional currencies. The tokenization of physical items also comes with the notation that the assets can be traded 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The founders of Liquid marketplace are Ryan Bahadori, Amin Nikdel and Logan Paul. According to the release, Liquid MarketPlace “offers a curated selection of high valued, unobtainable items, and is the only trading platform of its kind to offer a truly democratic approach to collecting via its voting page which empowers users by giving them control over their ownership.”

Liquid MarketPlace has raised $10 million (Canadian dollars) in funding to date and plans to begin a Series B round in the coming weeks.

The release noted that these physical items are carefully inspected for authenticity, photographed and insured, and they are then stored in a bank-grade 3rd party vault. The vault is also audited by MNP on a quarterly basis to verify that the assets on the platform are within the vault and the report is then published on the platform.

The platform focuses on partial ownership with a rare 24/7 trading and a fixed supply of the token. The platform plans to have additional launches in the coming months as it expands its user base globally.
