The year 2021 has been busy for watchmakers who are eager to launch themselves into uncharted sales records. Here are the new products to notice for 2021, and of course this is not meant to be a complete list covering every single luxury watch maker.

Keep in mind watch makers want the loyal consumers and the so-called watch investor to be excited. Rolex has made some key changes and updates on Explorer and Explorer II watches for 2021. Also worth noting, every month is a James Bond movie release concerning new watch opportunities from Omega.

Collectors Dashboard evaluates collectibles as an alternative asset class. This means collectibles are attracting the same capital that could have been invested into stocks or bonds. Many collectibles now cost thousands of dollars (or much more), and that can easily fit the bill for watches.

Some reports have been out that savvy watch-buyers can pre-order a watch and walk down the street to sell it for a profit. That said, when you factor in taxes and the notion that arbitrage is hard enough even in financial markets, trying to flip watches for a living will be a difficult way to invest unless you are buying at a steep discount and being able to sell direct to an end buyer.
