Tag Heuer Limited Edition Carrera Tiger Watch for 2022 (Year of the Tiger)

2022 is the Year of the Tiger in the Chinese New Year. Tag Heuer is celebrating with a limited edition watch called Tag Heuer Carrera Tiger. This watch is not about any prior ties to golf legend Tiger Woods. This is all about the Chinese New Year which begins on February 1st.

Any watch aficionado or collector could be found wearing this as the functionality matches the design. The design is unique, and the leather band looks to bring more of a comfortable fit on the wrist.

Collectors Dashboard evaluates high-end collectibles as an alternative asset class. This means collectibles are attracting the same capital that could have been invested into stocks, bonds and other traditional assets. This limited edition watch has a suggested retail price of $3,750.00. Whether this is classified as a high-end collectible will be left up to each buyer or watch collector, but there is some scarcity here that cannot be denied. Tag Heuer is limiting the release to just 300 examples.

According to Tag Heuer, the watch is water-resistant to 100 meters. Its 41 mm steel case comes with a 18K 5N solid rose gold crown and it is topped by a domed sapphire crystal with double anti-reflective treatment. On the sapphire case back, a “LIMITED EDITION” engraving adds to an emblematic blue and black tiger decal and it shows that the production was limited to 300. The price direct from the website was $3,750.00.

Described as confident and daring, the watch has a visual tribute with an elegantly textured striped-patterned dial that combines two distinct shades of blue. The two shades of blue resemble tiger fur with one lighter and water-toned and the other darker.

Here’s another limited watch with features that can be described as uncommon. Tag Heuer is a luxury watch brand and is so far the only one we are aware of that is celebrating the year 2022 specifically. Watches And Wonders is the title of the March 30th to April 5th in 2022 global watch expo in Geneva Switzerland and collectors are hungry for 2022 releases. We at Collectors Dashboard hope more will happen before Switzerland… And we continue to hope that the Omicron variant of COVID-19 doesn’t get in the way.
