Marilyn Monroe was perhaps the most photographed women of yesteryear. Collecting key photos and other items has been ongoing for nearly 60 years now. And now Marilyn Monroe is getting her own digital NFT collection in the Metaverse.

Phto. has announced the upcoming release of “Innovation of Influence.” This is said to be a curated digital collection paying homage to Norma Jeane and the catalog features imagery taken by photographed by Richard C. Miller. Miller is said to be the only photographer who was able to photograph Marilyn Monroe from the start of her career all the way through the end of her career.

Phto.’s press release indicated that Miller’s Norma Jeane collection has been exhibited, collected, and sold by institutions such as the Getty Museum and Christie’s. What the value of this collection will be is anyone’s guess. Cryptocurrency prices and NFT prices, which generally trade in Ethereum or other crypotocurrencies, have been very soft during the market turmoil throughout 2022. And for a reference, the website Alux lists the top 10 most expensive Marilyn Monroe memorabilia items and #1 on the list was her famous White Subway Dress at $4.6 million in a Debbie Reynolds memorabilia auction in Beverly Hills in 2011.
