Boxing Legend Floyd Mayweather Jr. Enters the Ring with NFT Launch

The world of crypto and non-fungible tokens (NFTs) has evolved faster than than most collectibles. Being all-digital allows for rapid expansion, and the industry players have moved to seize the opportunity. Boxing legend Floyd Mayweather Jr. is the latest celebrity athlete to jump into an NFT collection release.

Mayweather’s NFT digital art collection is titled ‘The Legacy’ and is available on the Rarible marketplace. The launch is said to celebrate Mayweather’s life and career and is made up of animations and artwork, consisting of 5 pieces in limited quantities.

The first digital art piece is titled “All Work is Easy Work” and was set for release on the Rarible NFT marketplace on Friday, May 26, 2021. This NFT is a limited edition of 50 and celebrates Mayweather’s undefeated record of 50 wins and no losses. The release indicated that 1 of 50 is for auction.

Along with the 1/1 auction for the “All Work Is Easy Work” release, the limited edition includes the official Floyd Mayweather digital signature and also includes signed boxing gloves, an in-person dinner with Floyd Mayweather and a personalized NFT celebrating the Mayweather dinner.

Mayweather’s other 4 pieces in the NFT collection were set for release on June 1, 2021 and was set to be ahead of Mayweather’s exhibition bout boxer Logan Paul.

The Mayweather NFT collection is a collaboration with Iron Bend, Zytara Labs, Reality Gaming and Disruptive Art Production. These are the 5 limited edition being released:
