Spider-Man Comics of Interest Ahead of Upcoming Movies in 2022

Heritage Auctions is a routine destination for all comic book collectors. This past Sunday & Monday Comic Books Select Auction was a destination for every level of collector. There were multiple key issues and trophy titles in all conditions sold including multiples of Spider-Man comics. This includes the Amazing Fantasy #15 comic as well as The Amazing Spider-Man #1.

Collectors Dashboard evaluates high-end collectibles as an alternative asset class. This means collectibles are attracting the same capital that could have been invested into stocks or bonds. Many collectibles now cost thousands of dollars (or much more). Collectors with a passion to own a collectible for years frequently have to compete directly against investors whose only desire is to make a profit in the future.

The primary interest in the Spider-Man realm of comics was the recent movie release of Spider-Man: No Way Home rapidly hit $1 billion in sales. There is also the coming spin-off of Morbius which is a Spider-Man spin-off and then Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse films due to be released in 2022.

These sales are likely being helped by the films after looking at our own Guide to Comic Book Movie Releases of 2022 and beyond.
