A Rolex Yacht-Master has two new styles for 2022 that have been shown on the Rolex website. They have many styles for the watch type but these two were officially released to the internet April 6, 2022. Since that time many collectors have become very attracted to the two new styles featuring a brilliant yellow gold and a second new style in white gold.

Collectors Dashboard evaluates high-end collectibles as an alternative asset class. This means collectibles, known brands of luxury watches in this case, may be attracting the same capital that could have been invested into stocks or bonds. Many watch styles now cost thousands of dollars, and many still cost well into the tens of thousands of dollars. Some watch collectors simply enjoy their watches, but watch investors may be owning them as a store of value or even to hopefully make a profit one day when they sell.

According to Rolex:

“The Yacht-Master’s bidirectional rotatable 60-minute graduated bezel is made of precious materials. The raised polished numerals and graduations stand out clearly against a matt, sand-blasted background.

This functional bezel – which allows the wearer to calculate, for example, the sailing time between two buoys – is also a key component in the model’s distinctive visual identity.”

The two watches join a list of already established Yacht-Master styles but leave it to Rolex to create something visually unique.
